Getting off to a slow start, the Ichabods let in a Wayne State goal early in the 6th minute by Reagan Allen. From there it would be a heavily controlled match by Washburn. The Ichabods would get their first shot in the back of the net in the 26th minute from Junior Ana Muruzabal that was assisted by Junior Viviana Soto-Herrera to be the equalizer. At the half the score would be even at 1 each. To begin the second half, Washburn would strike early on in the 51st minute off a corner kick by Freshman Mackinly Rohn to Sophomore Aubrey Tanksley where she would finish the shot. The Ichabods would take the lead for the first time all match, however they wouldn’t stop there. The Bods continue to build on their lead by a goal from another Mackinly Rohn corner. This time, Rohn would get the ball to deflect off the Wayne State goalkeeper Hayden Wallace in the 73rd minute. Washburn would cap the match off with their final goal in the 83rd minute with a pass from Ana Muruzabal to Freshman Lindsey Maul that would nail a shot from outside the box to end the match with a 4-1 victory over Wayne State College.
